FUTURESCOPE: Twins//Joy and Revolution (out now)
TWINS (Matt Weiner) and JOY AND REVOLUTION (J.Hartly, S.Hanken)
15 mins of electro bliss, sample heavy fun and songs to make your inner ghost dance.
"Brand new split cassette by Magic Rub consisting of 5 darkwave 80′s pop tracks from 2 artists. Side A featuresTwins (aka Matt Weiner) vibing to some whacked-out avant rhythms that sound like a reincarnation of joy division via an 80′s computer. Side B gets a bit MORE freaky with Joy & Revolution (aka J.Hartley and S.Hanken) serving up some haunting electro beats with some detached vocals that wouldn’t be out of place on an early Pocahauntedrecording project."

Double cassette: an altered dream//outer limits (out now)
an altered dream // outer limits
"Magic Rub Cassettes latest release of seriously lo-fi darkwave material pulls together 11 brand new tracks of synthy psych that drifts and burps its way into a world of 80′s bedroom dance production and new age leftfield pop. Its catchy, far out and brilliantly under produced. For those of you who don’t know, Joy & Revolution have been churning out the DIY psych for a while now. Consisting of J.Hartley and S.Hanken (who also run Magic Rub Cassettes), the duo make their music available for immediate download or a limited edition pretty cassette for the ol’ car stereo.
You gotta buy this one! Dig deep and dig. Deep."
